it's not a lack of walking that's my problem. It's a terrifying love of consuming 5000 cals a day.
@JellY it's quite nice is the slug and lettuce - is a Manchester chain I think.
As for things to do if you're busing it I'd just recommend going to a few of the bars and restaurants whilst you're here tbh... there's not a terrific amount to do that you wont get where you are, I can't imagine.
Holdfast / Odd Bar and Cane and Grain are 3 city centre bars i'd recommend.
As for restaurants there's literally about 50 that I couldn't recommend enough.
Will try to categorise by cuisine
Posh Indian : Asha's
Greek: Alexandros (is not in town) - possibly on main bus route as on one of the main roads but not sure.
Lebanese: Beirut (not in town but on the main bus route)
Italian: The Pasta Factory
Burgers: For me i'd say this goes to Solitas but it's a tough call - well worth going if you want to go check out all the aforementioned bars though as they're round the corner! (Near where I work so can come and fuck your weekend up too!!)
Grilled Cheese Sandwich: Sounds stupid but in Manchester this needs its own category... Northern Soul. HIGHLY Recommend for lunch. Unreal grub.
Quick meat snack: Gabbots in the arndale. Just a butchers that sells disgustingly cheap dead chickens that taste nice.
MEAT: Fazenda - basically come over to you with meat on swords - not to be confused with meat swords- and is one of the best places ever if you want a filling tea!
Pieminster: Good for quick northern pie!! (Although by northern pie I mean fucking weird pie with game in and stuff, absolutely 10/10 some of those pies)
Turtlebay: I imagine you have these... great carribean grub. Like the nandos of carribean food tbh, so not the best carribean place but definitely worth it for the price! Some incredible stuff on the menu.
Steak: Hawksmoor - 10/10 steaks. Pricey but worth it.
Thai/Chinese etc: For the best restaurants in these cuisines you're best going down to Chinatown.
If you're wanting banging Thai food and want it to be a bit classy / romantic or whatever then you're probably best going to Try Thai.
If you don't care about it looking fancy and want the best grub possible then please, please to go try Siam Smiles. It's one of the best places i've ever eaten - it's weird though as it's in a like thai mini-mart. Everything in here is spicy for most white people though.
Pictures - don't take many but have a few.

Miller and Carter Steakhouse: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH-ejpiAp0l/
Special mention to Miller and Carter - it only just falls below Hawksmoor for me but is still 9.9/10 for steaks but you are looking at paying upwards of £20 for a steak.
If you're into your arts stuff then there's a good Art Gallery in Whitworth park.
Also should go check out the football museum!
