Picked up details yesterday, got the 500ilvl a couple days back so constantly running the same WoD dungeon over and over in between quests as it just seems to put me in that same one, might be level restricted at this point?

Anyway it's been dropping some 530 pieces for me which is cool and makes questing a bit easier, kept an eye on details during the single target encounters where the long charge up times for pyro mean very little and christ, I couldn't believe how far ahead I was at the top of the DPS charts like 50 - 70k gap. It's a slow casting class at times but when it gets going it really fucking gets going.

Enjoying more and more as I play the fire mage and seem to be dinging roughly a level a night in the week, will accelerate that this weekend and try to hit legion content before monday.

Dungeons in WoD were terrible in leveling. You'll do Mines until about 91, Docks til 94, Aucidoun until 97 then Skysomething until 100. They made leveling through dungeons pretty dull.

My developer in work is really into his WoW and agrees. Says I should be doing bonus objectives rather than dungeons in WoD as it's much faster. Do you agree? There seems to be a a 90 - 100 power levelling guide on wowhead that suggests the same thing.

Get some of the experience boost potions as well from the auction hous32and you should be able to fly through

Yeah don't do that unless you know the exact way to do it. You can level 90-100 in a couple of hours if you have a flying mount. Dungeon XP wasn't great in WoD, especially when you take into account the queue times as DPS. Bonus objectives usually worked out around 10% of a level I think.

Fly round and do all the bonus objectives but leave 1 mob in each. Then pop the potion and you can do level 96-100 in under an hour by flying back round and consenting each.

Yeah I thought that's how it worked but I don't have flying and it's a long task to get it.

@Xenoscythe yeah got to 98 and started legion stuff, much more fun now 102, was 90 at start of this week so getting there, might not be ready for the first couple of raids but will get there.

Loving the fire mage now I have Phoenix's Flames, ALL the crits.

Cheers mate, been grouping with @veasu and @SamHiggy over the weekend and now sitting half way through 105 with one area left.

I've done well to go from 90 - 105 but not quite there which means that I likely won't be prepared in time for Thursday's initial raid as I might hit 110 but likely won't be geared appropriately. I assume there are heroics for me to get gear in?

Any specific ilvl you'd like me to be?

Ok, I found this on /r/competitivewow. Looks like the class hall gear might be a good way to get hold of some easy 810+ pieces. Do mythics replace heroics in this expansion?

Heroics are between normal and Mythic. We should be able to get you geared from crafted stuff and boost you through Mythics.

Half way through 108 now @Noodle so not too far away from cap at all. Can you kick the guild into gear and have them start crafting anything you think might be useful for me please? I'll of course contribute back any way that I can once i've hit cap and looking for things to do

Have finished each main questline for the zones now so no more big dungeon quest xp, finishing up quest lines dotted about the place and have gone as far as I can on the mage questline in person, just awaiting my troops to finish a mission today.

Probably won't make it for thursday's raid as planned as i'll be 110 but with fairly low ilvl (think i'm 775 atm) but will certainly make the one after that. Will anybody be recording the first raid? Would be nice to keep the community up to date with the progress as the group improves.

If ilvl is the only thing holding you back on Thursday you will be there. We will get you a decent ilvl mate don't you worry.
