I thought it would be a good idea to get a collective information thread in plenty of time before the summer LAN, it'll come round quicker than you think! I'll post all the base information here and any tournaments or other information as it becomes available.
Venue: NEC, Birmingham
Dates: 26th August 2016 - 29th August 2016 (25th EAS)
Opening times - Exhibition 10:30am - 6pm
Opening times - BYOC 6pm / 25th (EAS) - 6pm / 29th
Now purchased using theticketfactory.com gateway here. This means we're back to the old print it off and don't lose it system. The reason for the switch is that this is NEC's in house booking system.
- Day Visitor - £25
- Weekend Festival Ticket - £60
- Bring Your Own Computer - £99 (£84 for the first 1000 people or closes 30th April, £15 EAS)
Silver and Gold discounts will be distributed in emails on April 4th.
No tournament information as of yet.
For those attending BYOC I will post the seatpicker link here when it's available. There are already rumours of an upgrade being put in place for this event.
Indoor camping can be bought from the tickets page for £27. At i57 this was in the hall next door to the BYOC area and had reasonably good response.
If you fancy showering regularly then a hotel might be more to your liking. They're a variety of distances from the venue with the closest being the Ibis hotel. Both the premier inn and holiday inn are around a 15 min walk.
I've bought my ticket today, let me know if you've bought yours so we can get a good idea of numbers.
Any rumors circulating the forum will be posted here.
Admin Henners responds to a post claiming that the BYOC might be in hall 7 in summer
It will be "the other side" of the NEC as I understand it. Heard directly from highest event manager source....
This will hopefully keep us away from the exhibition / children for the most part and closer to the hotels but is going to be a longer walk to the train station if true.
A glimpse of the seat picker has been released and by the looks of it we should be looking to be as far away from the stage as possible towards the top right handside.
